The Full Grain Steerhide from Vicenza (Italy) is a high quality steerhide that ages beautifully, developing fantastic fades that reveal unique undertones. Thickness is around 1,1mm, making the Varenne a durable and high-end premium jacket.
Natural leathers like the Vicenza Steerhide have their own distinctive character and slight differences in texture, grain, scratches and color tone are signs of its authenticity.
The metallic zippers are made of antique brass with engraved markings.

I was ready for a fine leather jacket.
After checking out different makers, the cut and overall appearance of Shangri-La Heritage was what I had in mind!
First I thought about made-to-measure but after trying on the Varenne in size M it fit perfectly (lucky me). The only thing I was not so happy with was the sleeve length which was just a tad too long.
So I contacted the guys and all the communication was quick, friendly and on the point. Marco told me that it was no hassle to shorten the sleeves by 1.5cm.
I was opting for the steerhide version with fur collar and I was impressed how soft the leather is from the get-go!
I have a feeling this might not be my only jacket from the Bergamo guys!

The Varenne Fur Collar Black Leather Jacket has a classic style and shows excellent craftmanship and quality throughout, the zippers included. I ordered the jacket Made To Measure, with pockets for back, shoulder and elbow protectors, and I have put in d30 level 2 protectors – a little bulky, but OK since the jacket for me is for motorcycle riding. A little surpriced that the back protector pocket was bottom loaded and not top loaded. Excellent service from Marco to get the right fit! And the fit was spot on!

After looking at many different brands of very similar style as the Varenne, I decided to settle with Shangrila. Because I needed it to fit me perfectly, I decided to have to custom tailored to my dimensions. The end result exceeded my expectations. The jacket fits like a glove, and even though the leather is thick, it feels very comfortable wearing it and moving around. On top of that, the customer service I received was A+ !!
