The Waxed Canvas Desert 12 Oz by Halley Stevensons provides an extraordinary layer of protection against any bad weather conditions: wind, rain and mud. As the name suggests, Desert is a dry wax finish. The fabric has been through a tumbling process which softens the firm handle and gives the distressed worn appearance with a unique vintage aesthetic.
The Special Lining depicts the “1934” design and it’s in beige color 100% cotton.

I bought this jacket for those mild, rainy days of summer (13-20c) and it is perfect for it. The worksmanship is good and the jacket is very stylish. The waxed canvas is very elegant and the use of cotton in the lining was the right choice by Shangri La. Furthermore, it is Made in Europe! Completely worth the price.
Other well-chosen elements are the collar which can be closed during the rain and the side adjusters to cinch up the jacket. Alongisde the biswing / action back this makes it a very practical jacket without sacrificing style. Clearly the jacket has been made by people who know what they want.
I was assisted to find the right size (2XL) by Marco, who gave good support throughout the process. The fit is good for a tapered look, though the sleeves are a bit long; they are the right length for riding and must be cinched or rolled when not on the bike.
