The Type A-2 flight jacket was originally invented and developed for U.S. Army Air Forces pilots, Navigators and Bombardiers.

The Full Grain Horsehide from Vicenza (Italy) is first grade horsehide with a ton of character and deep richness. It ages beautifully, developing fantastic fades, creases and patina. Thickness is around 1,1mm, making the Don Gentile an outstanding and high-end premium jacket.

Natural leathers like the Vicenza Horsehide have their own distinctive character and slight differences in texture, grain, scratches and color tone are signs of its authenticity.

The name “Don Gentile” is a tribute to the Air Force Pilot Dominic Gentile, also known as ‘”The Ace of Aces”. Born as the son of Italian immigrants in the US, Don Gentile was flying the legendary North American P-51 Mustang nicknamed “Shangri-La”.
