“Swedish” Motorcycle Shearling Jacket

Inspired by early 1950s Swedish Army Motorcycle Jackets and revisited with a unique Italian touch, the “Swedish” Motorcycle Shearling Jacket represents an authentic garment made of Italian Shearling Sheepskin reinforced with leather trimmings in Full Grain Tea-Core Steerhide from Vicenza (Italy).

Born from rugged roads of Scandinavia during the Cold War Period, the Swedish Army Motorcycle Jacket reflects the practical and rugged aesthetic of mid-20th-century Military gear. Worn by dispatch riders and motorcycle units weaving through forests and snow-swept fields, it guarantees high protection against wind, rain, and cold.

Our Italian Merino Shearling Sheepskin, tanned in a small Tannery in Tuscany (Italy) is first grade Sheepskin, one of the softest and durable leather in the world. It ages beautifully, developing fantastic fades, creases and patina. The Merino Shearling Sheepskin is incredibly durable and long-lasting. The natural fibers of Sheepskin are strong and resilient, making the “Swedish” Jacket resistant to wear and tear, withstanding many years of hard use. This durability makes the “Swedish” a worthwhile investment that will last for a Lifetime.

The Shearling Sheepskin is the perfect natural insulator for cold weather. The soft sheep wool encases your body, ensuring maximum body warmth retention and at the same time wicking away excess moisture when the body generates it.

The Full Grain Tea-Core Steerhide has been aged by hand, giving it a real antique look. This Leather will change color with the wear, developing a unique Patina on the jacket, as a personal journey. The Black Tea-core Leather will begin to reveal the natural color under-layer, showing signs of time when it’s exposed to the elements and daily use, showing awesome scratches and fades in a various shades of golden and brown tone.

Any imperfections or variations in color, texture or grain are not to be considered as defects, but distinctive elements of a unique, artisanal quality product.

“Based in the beautiful and historic city of Bergamo, Daniel and Marco are the driving force behind the outerwear brand Shangri-La Heritage. The pair are making a considerable impression on men’s rugged style across Europe and the USA with a total
‘sourced and made in Italy’ approach that combines leather, textile and down apparel with everything the country has to offer in terms of modernist design, food and extravagant scenery. Seen here, the brand’s HQ is located in a 17th century palazzo, once owned
by one of the city’s leading families when Bergamo was part of the Venetian empire. This is a uniquely Italian proposition, that sets Shangri-La Heritage apart from other players in the market and has led to wide distribution and collaborations with influential
brands such as Eat Dust. Get into the site and explore”.
