Inspired by 1930s Suits and revisited with a unique Italian touch, the “Marcello” Wool Suit represents an authentic garment made of Italian Herringbone Virgin Wool from Tuscany (Italy), unlined construction for maximum comfort and breathability.
The Italian Suit is the result of a long evolution in Italian tailoring, combining the formal tradition of European menswear with a distinctly Italian approach to proportion, craftsmanship, comfort, and effortless elegance.
Italian tailoring began to develop a strong modern identity during the early 20th century, but its defining transformation came after World War II. Italian tailors began moving away from the heavier, more rigid construction associated with traditional British tailoring. Jackets became lighter, softer, and more naturally shaped, reflecting the Italian preference for elegance without excessive formality.
Herringbone, also called broken twill weave, it’s an ancient pattern dated back to the Roman Empire, where it was used in buildings its Roadways. Our Herringbone Wool is produced by an Historical Italian Mill that opened its doors in 1952, and has been continuously producing premium quality fabrics since that time.
Greige is a sophisticated neutral tone that sits between grey and beige, combining the cool elegance of grey with the natural warmth of beige. The name itself comes from the combination of grey and beige.
The attention to detail makes it a rare and authentic Suit Hand Made in Italy.
