Inspired by early 1950s Expedition Parka and revisited with a unique Italian touch, the “Presena” Down Expedition Parka represents an authentic garment made of Recycled 80% Goose Down / 20% Feather from Tuscany (Italy), with an external layer made of a special 60/40 Fabric by Olmetex®, an Italian Excellence making the best technical fabrics in the world (since 1952 in Como, Italy).

The “Presena” Parka is inspired by the original parkas worn in 1954 during the legendary Italian expedition to K2. In fact, the 1954 Italian expedition (led by Ardito Desio, Achille Compagnoni and Lino Lacedelli) became the first people to reach the summit of K2, 8,611 metres (28,251 ft), the second-highest mountain in the world.

Padded with responsibly-sourced Goose Down (Recycled 80% Goose Down / 20% Feather), the “Presena” guarantees warmth and protection against any bad weather condition, no matter how wet and cold.

The Recycled Goose Down from Tuscany (Italy) is certified by GRS (Global Recycle Standard). GRS is intended to meet the needs of people looking to verify the recycled content of their products and to verify responsible social, environmental and chemical practices in their production. The Goose Down is also traceable and certified to follow the RDS (Responsible Down Standard), and is processed in Bluesign®-approved facilities.

The name “Presena” is a tribute to the legendary Glacier in Northern Italy, where the Parka has been tested in the harshest conditions.
